Who We Are
At IAT Counseling Services, we’re a close‑knit team of therapists rooted in Shreveport, Louisiana and united by one purpose: helping people feel better, live fuller, and connect more deeply with themselves and others.
Our practice is led by Marjorie Alden Lyons, MS, LPC‑S, NCC, a trauma‑informed clinician trained in EMDR 2.0. She’s joined by Alyssa Garza, MS, PLPC, who offers compassionate care for children, teens, and adults, and by Meghan Murphy, the friendly administrator who makes sure every message finds the right therapist. Rounding out the team is Baxter, our resident therapy dog whose calm presence adds warmth and comfort to many sessions. We believe effective counseling blends evidence‑based methods with genuine human connection. Whether we’re meeting in our Fern Avenue office or via secure telehealth, you’ll find an environment that is inclusive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and tailored to your goals—be it navigating anxiety or depression, healing from trauma, strengthening relationships, or simply gaining tools for everyday resilience.
